Update to our packaging

You may have seen some small changes to our packaging this year…  To #ReduceWastePlastic and improve the presentation of our brand, we have removed the plastic capsules on all our 500ml ciders, replacing it with a new branded paper neck label.  We’ve also launched a bespoke “Tricolore” crown cap across all our ciders. Angioletti Italian cider in Total Wine & More USA

We are very excited and proud to announce that Angioletti Secco, Riserva and Rosé Italian ciders have recently launched in Total Wine & More stores in the USA.

We have developed new 4 x 11.2 fl.oz. ‘carry packs’ especially for the US market, and we’re really looking forward to seeing these in-store!

Italian cider at The Italian Awards

This weekend, we were delighted to be the official cider sponsor for The Italian Awards, celebrating the very best of Italian hospitality in England.

The evening, at Manchester’s Principal Hotel, began with aperitivo including our Angioletti Secco, Rosé and Mela Rossa craft Italian ciders.

Growing interest in Italian craft cider

Since we launched Angioletti UK at the start of 2016, as we approach the half year point, we are really beginning to see a spike in interest for our craft Italian ciders.  Our Mela Rossa craft Italian cider launched in Bella Italia restaurants nationwide in April, Angioletti craft Italian cider is launching in another national Italian restaurant chain next month, and we have several more very high profile launches to follow in the second half of the year, in both on-premise and retail sectors.

So, craft Italian cider? Never heard of it?!

Well, you probably haven’t; cider or ‘sidro’ in Italy is quite a rare sight, and there’s one fairly unsavoury character to blame for this, and his name is Benito Mussolini…  Among a few other ill-considered decisions, he forbade the fermentation of all other fruit other than grapes so as to support the Italian wine industry.  Good news for Italian wine, bad news for Italian cider!
