The Lucia Maria Melchiori ‘sidro birrificio’ is where all our Angioletti craft Italian ciders and Birra Val di Non craft beers are made, in the pretty village of Tres, in Trentino, north-eastern Italy.  A family-owned business, the company was founded in 1994 by Alberto and his wife Lucia, initially to produce high-quality balsamic vinegars and juices from the apples of the Trentino-Alto Adige region.

As we were already pressing apples and fermentation was part of vinegar production process, making cider seemed like the obvious next step – Angioletti craft Italian cider was born.  Ever since, our aim has been to prove that real Italian cider not only exists, but that it is a delicious, refreshing drink with a character all of its own.

Birra Val di Non, named after the valley in which we are situated, was born in 2013 when a microbrewery was installed at Lucia Maria Melchiori.  We now produce a broad range of Italian craft beers under the Birra Val di Non brand, including our flagship beer: Bionda Trentina – ‘The Blonde from Trentino’.

Angioletti UK began trading in early 2016 as our dedicated sales office, to bring our products to some of the key cider and beer markets in the world. Angioletti UK is based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, and we are proud to treat Marlow as a ‘home away from home’ for our craft Italian ciders and beers.
